The Granollers Chamber Choir and the OSV bring the Chichester Psalms on a tour of Catalonia
The Granollers Chamber Choir begins the year with a high-level artistic project: the interpretation of Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms , in collaboration with the Vallès Symphony Orchestra and under the direction of Xavier Puig . This work, known for its rhythmic and melodic richness, will be part of a program that will also include Karl Jenkins’ Mass for Peace , Samuel Barber’s Agnus Dei and the Islamic song Zikr by Allah Rakha Rahman, in a proposal that seeks to transmit a message of communion between cultures and religions through music.
The tour of this production will begin on April 4 in Terrassa , to continue on April 6 at the Palau de la Música Catalana , one of the most anticipated dates of the project. Subsequently, the choir will bring this repertoire to Lleida on April 11, to Igualada on April 12, to Granollers on April 13 and will end in Tarragona on April 15. In each city, different choral formations will join the proposal, enriching the musical experience and consolidating this project as one of the most ambitious of the season.
